The goal of an occupational safety and health system implemented by Organizations is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment by protecting workers, employers, customers, suppliers and nearby communities. Additionally, implementation of Occupational Health and Safety benefit society by reducing medical care expenses, sick leave and disability benefit costs.
OHSAS 18001 is an Internationally recognised Standard/Assessment Specification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and was developed in response to the need for companies to meet their health and safety obligations as well as to satisfy legal requirements in an efficient and effective manner.
